This paper focuses on the application of virtual host in the news field under the background of convergent media,analyzes the concept and characteristics of convergent media,introduces the development process of virtual host,discusses the technical basis of virtual host,lists the application cases of virtual host in the news field under the background of convergent media,and promotes the application and development of virtual host in the news field.
