摘要
朱希祖是20世纪前期有重要影响的史学家。一方面,他主张运用现代社会科学,跳出党派、民族、国家的偏见研究历史,既考订历史事实,又探究人类进化之律,并把建设科学的史学之理念体现于北京大学史学系的课程设置中。另一方面,他的论著具有鲜明的民族主义史学特色,强调民族气节,阐扬民族精神,心系民族兴亡。并且,他的这两个方面主张既存在张力,又具有统一性。由于受“华夷之辨”观念影响,又处在国家危难的形势下,朱希祖史著未能避免大汉族主义的局限。
Zhu Xizhu was an influential historian in the early 20th century.On the one hand,he advocated the use of modern social science to study history beyond the prejudices of party,nationality and state,to examine historical facts and the laws of human evolution,and reflected the concept of building a scientific historiography in the curriculum of the History Department of Peking University;on the other hand,his writings have distinctive characteristics of nationalist historiography,emphasizing national integrity,expounding national spirit and caring for the rise and fall of the nation.These two aspects of his proposition are both tense and unified.Due to the influence of the concept of“the distinction between Chinese and foreigners”and the critical situation of the country,Zhu Xizu's historical works failed to avoid the limitations of the Great Han nationalism.
