摘要
现代人起源问题是国际学术界最为热议的科学问题之一。自20世纪80年代以来,对这一问题的讨论形成了“走出非洲”假说和“多地区演化”假说两大针锋相对的阵营。随着新世纪新材料的不断积累和新技术的快速进步,对现代人起源模式的争论有了重大调整,来自东方的材料发挥着越来越重要的作用。本文回顾了现代人起源和现代行为起源演化的主要假说、模式的来源、历史和发展,并综合介绍了最新的一些考古发现和研究进展,进而讨论了现代人起源与演化模式、现代行为起源和演化模式调整的动因和方向,提出了要重视海量的考古学物质证据在讨论各种模式中的作用,反思“现代性”的文化内涵。呼吁加强我国对现代人起源问题研究的投入,为现代人起源模式讨论提供更坚实的东方视角。
The origin of modern humans is a highly contested topic in the international academic community. Since the 1980s,debates on the origin of modern humans have led to the formation of two opposing camps,one supporting the “Out of Africa” hypothesis and the other supporting the “Multi-Regional”hypothesis. With the steady accumulation of new materials and rapid technological advancements in the new century,the arguments surrounding models of modern human origins have undergone significant transformation,and materials from the Eastern world are increasingly gaining prominence. This article: 1)reviews the origin,history and development of major hypotheses and models for the origin and behavioral evolution of modern human,2) comprehensively introduces the latest archaeological findings and recent advancement,3) discusses the motivation and direction of the transformation of models of the origin and evolution of modern human,as well as models of the origin and evolution of modern behavior;4) proposes to value the role of vast material archaeological evidence on discussions involving different models;and 5)reflects on the cultural connotation of “modernity”. The author advocates for increased investment in research on the origin of modern humans to provide more substantial Eastern perspectives in the discourse surrounding models of modern human origins.
