摘要
受多重因素影响,我国居民消费水平差距依然较大。健康风险因素及抗风险能力是影响居民消费水平差距的重要因素,从健康风险管理视角解决消费水平差距问题是增进民生福祉的有效举措。本文基于中国家庭金融调查(CHFS)的数据,从微观层面研究商业医疗保险对居民消费水平差距的影响效应和作用机制。研究发现:商业医疗保险对家庭消费水平差距具有显著抑制作用,该结论经过一系列稳健性与内生性检验后依然成立。异质性分析表明,商业医疗保险对发展型消费水平差距、农村家庭消费水平差距的抑制效果更强。此外,减少家庭预防性储蓄是商业医疗保险影响消费水平差距的作用路径。本研究为运用商业保险管理健康风险、缩小居民家庭消费水平差距提供了实证依据。
Affected by multiple factors,the gap between China's residents'consumption level is still large,health risk factors and anti-risk ability are important factors affecting the gap in residents'consumption level,and solving the consumption level gap problem from the perspective of health risk management is an effective measure to improve people's livelihood and well-being.Based on the data of the China Household Finance Survey(CHFS),this paper studies the influence effect and mechanism of commercial medical insurance on the consumption level gap of residents from the micro level.It is found that commercial medical insurance has a significant inhibitory effect on household consumption level gap,and this conclusion is still valid after a series of robustness and endogenous tests.The heterogeneity analysis shows that commercial medical insurance has a stronger inhibitory effect on the development consumption level gap and the rural household consumption level gap.In addition,reducing household precautionary savings is the way commercial medical insurance affects the consumption level gap.This study provides an empirical basis for the use of commercial insurance to manage health risks and reduce the consumption level gap of households.
