摘要
世界文学经典选本是大学中文专业外国文学类课程的重要参考教材,长期采用“东西二分”或“合二为一”的组织模式,其潜能和价值已经被挖掘殆尽。新编《世界文学作品选》以“同心圆”的世界文学观念指导经典的筛选和组织工作,它以地理单位的“洲”和“跨洲际”作为分册单位,以与中国文学、文化发生联系之先后强弱以及体现世界文学的整体结构和发展前景等因素,作为建构的标准和依据,展现了以中国文学为中心的世界文学建构。这一体系架构具有广阔的应用前景,对于打破世界文学研究中的西方中心主义迷思,构建有中国特色的比较文学与世界文学话语体系,重塑世界文学经典都有重要的意义。
The anthologies of world literature,as the important reference for undergraduates majoring in Chinese with the requirements of foreign literature studies,organized in the pattern of either“East-west Dichotomy”or“One All-embracing Basket”for a long time,have been exhausted since it seems that their values have been maximized with little or no potential to be exploited.The Anthology of World Literature recently published selects and organizes the classic texts of world literature in the pattern of“Concentric Circles”,which leads to the employment of geographical concepts of“continent”and“transcontinental”as the coordinating principles of volumes.Thus,the idea of visioning world literature centering around China is manifestly mirrored in the criteria of construction containing the extent of connection that one has with Chinese literature and culture,the significance one has for the general structure and prospect of world literature.With the promising applications,the systematic approach has great significance for dispelling the myth of West-tropism in the field,constructing the discursive system of comparative literature and world literature with Chinese characteristics,and refreshing the whole outlook on the classics of world literature.
