Since the 18th National Congress of the CPC,General Secretary Xi Jinping has on many occasions emphasized the importance of youth work to the governance of China.His remarks center around major theoretical and practical issues such as the role,the tasks and the demands of youth work,offering answers to questions like “Why is it important to train the youth?” “How to train them?” and “For whom?” Xi Jinping’s thought on youth work represents the Party’s new understanding of youth work and provides ideological guidance and value reference for the Party’s youth work in the new era,namely,to make friends with the youth,to serve them,and to guide them.
