摘要
本文汇集美国图书馆协会认证的北美63所设置LIS学院硕士项目的相关iSchool课程体系、《美国新闻与世界报告》LIS项目排名等信息和数据,梳理、解析及评述以美国为主导的北美法律信息人才的培养模式、课程设置、毕业生职业发展等特点,并就我国相应LIS课程改革提出建议和对策。
The article surveys 63 ALA accredited LIS master’s degree programs in North America,collects and sorts out the data on the MLIS rankings and“Law Librarianship”sub-rankings conducted by the U.S.News&World Report,as well as the status of the iSchool member institutions.It concludes that the North America model through long historical development shall offer valuable experience to Chinese counterparts The article also studies the current practice in China by analyzing the law related courses or contents offered in these reputable MLIS programs.The article suggests that Chinese LIS community should promote the institutionalized education for law librarianship or legal information specialists,and advocate for the long-term competency of Chinese law librarianship.
