摘要
苏珊·朗格是20世纪美国最著名的女性哲学家,也是艺术符号美学的代表人物。朗格广泛采纳哲学、美学、心理学的思想质素,从艺术的表象到本质,层层深入地探讨了艺术的存在方式。她将符号与形式看作艺术的表现,将情感与生命看作艺术的本质,创造性地以抽象与幻象的建立探讨了艺术的生成机制,最终糅合了艺术创作的“表现说”与“形式说”,提出“艺术是人类情感的符号形式的创造”这一命题,对后来的美学发展产生了深远的影响。
Susanne K. Langer is the most famous female philosopher in the United States in the 20th century and a representative of the aesthetics of artistic symbols. Langer has widely adopted the ideological qualities of philosophy, aesthetics, and psychology. From the appearance to the essence of art, she thoroughly explores the existence of art and regards signs and forms as the expressions of art and the feeling and life as expressions of art. The essence of art creatively explores the generation process of art through the establishment of abstraction and illusion and finally combines the “expression theory” and “form theory” of artistic creation. Langer proposes that art is the creation of the symbolic form of human feeling, which has a profound influence in the development of aesthetics.
