【Objective】To analyze the set-up error of body surface marker line lengthening in intensity modulated radiation therapy(IMRT)for cervical cancer, and to explore whether it is beneficial to improve the repeatability and consistency of body position in Orfit frame use.【Methods】From August 2020 to July 2021,40 patients with cervical cancer who underwent IMRT radical operation in our hospital were selected.According to extension of body surface marker line, the patients were divided into A and B groups with 20 cases in each group. In Group A,the marked lines on the body surface were prolonged, and the degree of bladder filling was measured by bladder capacity scanner(BS)and cone beam CT before treatment in both groups, the set-up errors in the left-right,up-down,and front-back directions were obtained and analyzed.【Results】The set-up errors of the two groups in the whole course of treatment and in the three directions of left-right,up-down,and front-back were significant difference(P<0.05).Compared with Group B,Group A decreased 0.9 mm,1.3 mm and 0.9 mm in left-right,up-down,and front-back directions respectively.【Conclusion】The extension of body surface marking line in Orfit frame fixation can improve the setting precision of intensity-modulated radiotherapy for cervical cancer.
