摘要
本文基于2021年对粤港澳大湾区45家用人单位、17所高校ESP课程授课教师及学生的调查数据,从需求分析理论视角出发,使用实证研究方法分析区域内高校拓展性ESP课程的现实困境和优化需求。结果发现:当前大湾区内高校拓展性ESP课程设置存在粤港澳三地高校合作较少、教师身份认同感较低、教学过程零散随意、精品课程较少以及教学手段需要更新等问题。这需要从厘清课程定位、加强粤港澳合作、提升师资水平和学生参与水平、充分运用现代技术等方面,优化高校拓展性ESP课程体系设置,培养为湾区建设赋能的国际化人才。
This paper is based on a survey of 45 employers,and ESP teachers and students from 17 universities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area in 2021.An empirical research method is employed to analyze the practical difficulties and optimization needs of the region’s extended ESP English courses from the perspective of needs analysis theory.The findings indicate that some problems need to be resolved in the development of the ESP English curriculum in the Greater Bay Area.These problems involve four kinds of lacks:1)cooperation among universities in the Greater Bay Areas,2)teacher identity(with arbitrariness in the teaching process),3)quality courses,and 4)up-to-date teaching methods.To solve the problems,we need to optimize the setting of the extended English curriculum in universities by clarifying the curriculum’s orientation,strengthening cooperation between Guangdong,Hong Kong,and Macao,increasing the level of participation of teachers and students,and fully utilizing modern technology.In this way we can better train internationalized talents for the bay area construction.
