In order to study the effects of different crude fiber content diets on the growth performance, meat quality and economic benefits of Duroc×Meishan commercial pigs,90 Duroc×Meishan commercial piglets were selected and randomly divided into 3 experimental groups. The experiment was divided into two stages:piglets in the first stage were fed a test diet to 50 kg body weight, and growing finishing pigs in the second stage were fed a crude fiber diet to the end of slaughter.Piglets were fed diets containing 2.5%,3%and 4%crude fiber. At growth and finishing stage, the broilers were fed diets with crude fiber content of 2.5%,3.5%and 4.5%.The results showed that the increase of dietary crude fiber content could lead to the decrease of average daily gain and the increase of feed/gain.Feeding diets with different fiber content could reduce backfat thickness and improve meat color, but had no significant effects on lean meat percentage, fat percentage, skin percentage and bone percentage(P>0.05).Increase the crude fiber content to 3.5%and 4.5%,and reduce feed cost by 15.16%and 10.51%,respectively,but the whole economic benefit shows downtrend.
