摘要
20世纪80年代美国金融界妇女普遍存在着生育率、结婚率下降等问题,并在性别气质中呈现出“第三性”特征。时隔30余年,中国女性在获得前所未有发展的同时也出现了此类问题,这种变化反映出中国女性在适应社会发展所做出的积极调适,却也让广大妇女由此陷入家庭角色与职业角色的冲突之中。客观、理性认识“第三性”概念是唤起男性对女性发展困境作出理解与改变的途径之一,也是回顾帕特里夏·A·麦克布鲁姆(Patricia A Mcbroom)《第三性》一书的意义所在。
In the 1980 s, the fertility rate and marriage rate of women in American financial circles were declining, and they showed the characteristics of “the third gender” in their gender temperament. More than 30 years later, the unprecedented development of Chinese women also has such problems. This change reflects the positive adjustment made by Chinese women to adapt to social development, but also makes the majority of women fall into the conflict between family role and professional role. Objective and rational understanding of the concept of “the third gender” is one of the ways to arouse men to understand and change the plight of women′s development. It is also the significance of reviewing Patricia A Mcbloom′s The Third Sex.
