摘要
《孟子》是儒家经典之作,凝聚着我国古圣先贤孟子的哲学思想与人文关怀。然而,由于《孟子》成书久远,加之古书无标点,现今对于《孟子》标点势必因为对文本的理解不同而产生差异。目前《孟子》标点本中,杨伯峻的《孟子译注》和李学勤主编、廖名春与刘佑平整理、钱逊审定的《孟子注疏》在学界具有广泛影响。这两个版本有些部分对于引号的使用存在明显差异,会导致读者对文本的理解出现分歧。因此,系统梳理这些标点差异,厘清阅读分歧,对于《孟子》的进一步普及与研究具有重要意义。
Mencius is an enduring classic works advocating Confucianism,which embodies the philosophical thoughts and humanistic concerns of our ancient sage Mencius(also known as Mang-Tze or Mang-Tzu).However,in view of the completion time of Mencius and the lack of punctuation in it,the scholars’opinions nowadays are bound to be divided over the punctuation of Mencius due to their varied cognition of the texts.At present,among the punctuated versions of Mencius,great scholarly attention has been paid to both Yang Bojun’s Interpretations of the Works of Mencius and Mencius Zhushu in Li Xueqin(ed.),collated by Liao Mingchun and Liu Youping and reviewed by Qian Xun.Obvious differences exist in the use of quotation marks in these two editions,which,therefore,can impact readers’understanding of the texts.In response to this case,to sort out the punctuation differences is of great importance for the further dissemination of and study on Mencius.
