Objective To explore the clinical effect of gabapentin addition in the treatment of patients with refractory partial epilepsy. Methods A total of 90 patients with refractory partial epilepsy were selected as the research objects.According to the differences in clinical medication reqimen, the patients were divided into conventional group(conventional treatment)and observation group(gabapentin addition treatment),with 45 cases in each group. The clinical effects of the two groups were compared. Results The total effective rate of treatment of the conventional group was lower than that of the observation group(P<0.05).After treatment, the levels of cluster of differentiation 3 positive(CD3^(+))and cluster of differentiation 4 positive(CD4^(+))in the two groups were higher than those before treatment, the cluster of differentiation 8positive(CD8^(+)),serum immunoglobulin A(IgA),immunoglobulin G(IgG)and immunoglobulin M(IgM)levels were lower than those before treatment, and those in the observation group were better than the conventional group(P<0.05).The incidences of nausea, drowsiness, anorexia and ataxia in the observation group were lower than those in the conventional group(P<0.05).Conclusion Gabapentin addition in the treatment of patients with refractory partial epilepsy can achieve ideal therapeutic effect, effectively stabilize the levels of biochemical indexes, reduce the incidence of adverse reactions, and has high safety, which is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
