基于多用户VR平台的大学英语自主学习研究

College English Autonomous Learning Based on Multi-user VR Platform of Second Life

摘要 多用户VR平台Second Life拥有沉浸式的全英语环境、大量英语母语用户、高度仿真的3D虚拟现实环境以及强大的社交功能,可以为广大英语学习者提供真实、自然、轻松的英语学习环境。通过组织学生在Second Life进行为期一学期的英语自主学习活动,以调查问卷和访谈形式综合评价学生学习效果,探索多用户VR环境下的大学英语自主学习的可行性和有效性。 The multi-user VR platform of Second Life has an immersive English environment, a large number of native English-speaking users, a highly simulated 3D virtual reality world and powerful social features, which can provide a real, natural and relaxing English learning environment for English learners. This study organizes students to conduct a one-semester English autonomous learning program in Second Life, comprehensively evaluating the learning effect of students in the form of questionnaires and interviews, thus explores the feasibility and effectiveness of English autonomous learning of non-English majors in the multi-user VR environment.
