试论我国外语教育的中国特色

摘要 新中国成立以来的中国外语教育,走过了一条独特的发展路径。本文从专业定位、培养目标、培养规格、教育资源建设四个方面对我国外语教育的中国特色进行梳理和总结,在此基础上对《国标》“培养规格”提出的相关要求做了解读,对外语研究界围绕外语专业的“定位”和“复合型”人才培养等问题展开的争论做了分析。 Foreign language education in China since in 1949 has been largely shaped by what the newly-founded republic and,later,an opening China,has demanded of their bilinguals.This paper examines the Chineseness of this unique foreign language education in terms of current official mission of foreign language education,changing expectations of bilingual speakers,core skills and competencies necessary to meet challenges in the new era,and education resources in the Chinese context.Relevant competencies as outlined in the National Standards for Undergraduate Foreign Language Programs in Higher Education Institutions are also interpreted and the ongoing debates surrounding the defining features of and interdisciplinary reform in the programs are reviewed.
