摘要
作为一种重要的出版物类型,士兵读物在战时舆论与战地生活中具有独特的价值与作用。本文聚焦于全面抗战时期国民政府士兵读物的供应问题,对抗战时期士兵的阅读需求、读物的供应来源、内容种类及其输送情况等做了具体分析。文章认为,士兵读物的大量供应既导源于士兵对信息、读物的渴求,也与政府及社会对士兵精神食粮重要性的认知相关。通过政府与官办机构编印、私营出版机构印售、协会与民间组织编印以及征集募捐与文化劳军等方式,政府与社会为士兵提供了形式迥异、内容多样的读物,并利用军邮系统与专门发行网等途径部分实现了读物的前线输送。读物的供应既为士兵提供了各种信息与阅读娱乐,同时也蕴含了政府通过读物激发抗战热情、规训士兵行止、形塑士兵思想共同体的努力。
As an important kind of publication, soldiers’ readings played a significant role in shaping the wartime public opinion and the battlefield life. This article focuses on the supply of the readings for the soldiers of the Nationalist Party Government during the Total Resistance against Japanese Aggression. It analyses the soldiers’ reading needs, the sources of reading materials, the categories of the readings, and how they were transported. It suggests that the large supply of soldiers’ readings was not only a result of the soldiers’ demand for information, but also due to the government and the society’s recognition of the readings as important spiritual food. Various kinds of readings were provided to the soldiers in several ways, including the government compiling and printing, commercial publishing houses printing and selling, social associations compiling and printing, donation, and greeting the army with cultural activities. Some of the readings were transported to the front through the military mail system and specialized distribution networks. The readings not only brought information and entertainment to the soldiers, but also aroused their fighting spirit, disciplined their behaviors, shaped their thinking, and ultimately forged them as a community.
