摘要
已有文献大多从财务视角考察董责险的经济后果,鲜有文献从企业社会责任这一非财务视角对董责险的经济后果进行检验。本文以2010-2019年我国沪深A股上市公司为研究样本,考察董责险对企业社会责任的影响。经验证据表明,购买董责险有助于促进企业履行社会责任。进一步研究发现,董责险对高管的保护程度越高,越能有效促进企业履行社会责任;董责险对企业履行社会责任的促进作用在高管薪酬越低、独董比例越小的公司中越为显著。
Most of the existing literature studied the economic consequence of directors' and officers' liability insurance(DOI) from the perspective of finance,but few studies examined it from the non-financial perspective of corporate social responsibility (CSR). Based on sample from China's A-share listed companies in Shanghai and Shenzhen from 2010 to 2019 to empirically test⁃ ed the impact of DOI on CSR. The results showed that DOI could promote enterprises to fulfill social responsibilities. Further re⁃ search showed that:the higher the degree of DOI protection was,the more effective it was to promote enterprises to fulfill their CSR;the promotion effect of DOI on CSR was more significant in companies with weaker salary incentive and lower proportion of inde⁃ pendent directors.
