Research progress on the mechanisms of central nervous system inflammation in depression

摘要 抑郁症是一种由多因素引起的情感障碍性疾病,其发病率呈逐年上升的趋势,现已成为困扰全球的严重健康问题。抑郁与中枢神经系统炎症相关,涉及小胶质细胞和星形胶质细胞等中枢炎性细胞以及Toll样受体(Toll-like receptors,TLRs)和NOD样受体蛋白(Nod-like receptor proteins,NLRPs)等炎症介质。本文将对中枢神经系统炎症和抑郁症的关系相关研究进展情况进行综述,这将有助于更深入地了解抑郁症的中枢神经炎症机制。 Depression is a debilitating, commonly occurring and life-threatening psychiatric disorder, with a worldwide prevalence of approximately 17%. In recent years, more and more studies have found that depression is related to inflammation in central nervous system, involving inflammatory cells such as microglia and astrocyte, as well as inflammatory mediators such as Toll-like receptors(TLRs) and Nod-like receptor proteins(NLRPs). This review aims to summarize the role of the neuroinflammation in the development and progression of depression. That will be vital for the identification of new drug targets and preventative strategies.
