摘要
本文研究数字金融与二氧化碳排放的关系,建立了数字金融与二氧化碳排放的理论模型,理论研究表明数字金融与二氧化碳排放之间存在着倒U型关系。通过采用2011—2018年我国281个地级及以上城市面板数据,利用系统GMM模型进行实证检验,检验结果表明:数字金融与二氧化碳排放之间存在的倒U型关系,在东部地区显著,而在中部和西部地区不显著;在数字金融覆盖广度和使用深度维度显著,而在数字支持服务程度维度不显著。进一步研究了数字金融与二氧化碳排放之间关系的形成机制,研究认为数字金融的网络外部性和边际产出具有递增性是导致这一关系的本质所在,即经济规模扩张引起的二氧化碳排放增加和绿色技术创新引起的二氧化碳减排之间的叠加效应具有先增后减特点。
This paper studies the relationship between digital finance and carbon dioxide emissions,and establishes a theoretical model of digital finance and carbon dioxide emissions.Theoretical model shows that there is an inverted U-shaped relationship between digital finance and carbon dioxide emissions.Based on the panel data of 281 cities in China from 2011 to 2018,the systematic GMM model was used for empirical test.The test results show that:the inverted U-shaped relationship between digital finance and carbon dioxide emissions is significant in eastern region,but unsignificant in central and western region.It is significant in the dimension of breadth of coverage and depth of usage,but unsignificant in the dimension of digital support services.The mechanism of the relationship between digital finance and carbon dioxide emissions is further studied,which suggests that digital financial network externalities and increasing marginal output is the essence of this relationship.The superposition effect between the increase of carbon dioxide emission caused by the expansion of economic scale and the reduction of carbon dioxide emission caused by green technology innovation increases first and then decreases.
