摘要
中央民族大学历史文化学院周琼教授是西南环境史研究的开拓者和引领者。她长期从事环境史、灾荒史、灾害文化、生态文明等研究,在环境史领域首次提出环境疾病、环境灾害、生态边疆、边疆环境史和环境口述史等具有标志性的学术概念、学术观点和学术思想,取得了一系列丰硕成果:在《民族研究》《清史研究》《清华大学学报》《思想战线》《中国史研究动态》《中国边疆史地研究》等刊物发表论文90余篇,被《中国社会科学文摘》、中国人民大学复印报刊资料等全文转载或摘录13篇.
This interview about the primary issues, difficulties, turns and practicality of current environmental research was conducted in a comprehensive and in-depth way with Professor Zhou Qiong, the pioneering and leading scholar of Southwest environmental history. Professor Zhou said that environmental history should cover more objects and contents of research, its definition should be more universal, extensive,comprehensive and macroscopical, its research methods should be more interdisciplinary, and its perspectives of studying inland and frontier areas should be more related to the holistic view of the global environment. As to the problem of solidification and dilemma to different degrees in the current research paths,theories, and methods of environmental history in China, Professor Zhou proposed a countermeasure of innovation not only in the research level and vison but also in the mindset and purpose to make more breakthroughs. In addition, based on his research and long-term practice in talent training, Professor Zhou elaborated on his understanding of the role that the communication between and integration of environmental history and ecological civilization play in serving the national strategy and local society. According to him, environmental history is a branch of history full of life and practical significance, so the related research issues should be closely linked to the social reality and needs. This is not only a requirement for the development of the discipline, but also the social responsibility and realistic mission that environmental history scholars should take.
