摘要
“雅”与“艳”是一对联系紧密的词学概念,具有丰富的词学意蕴。就词史观之,晚唐五代至北宋词以抒写艳情为主,北宋末年出现了辨别“雅”与“艳”的观念,南宋词以崇“雅”黜“艳”为主要特征,元明词回归艳词的传统。清初本事词因寄寓了词人与其心仪女子的真挚感情,由而脱去寻常艳词的淫亵与庸俗,可谓艳词的自赎。浙西词派主张去“艳”而归“雅”;常州词派引入变雅之音与哀艳之情,为清词的“雅”“艳”观提供了新的阐释空间。浙西词派和常州词派均提出“雅而不艳”的观点,但对其不同的阐释成为浙、常二派的分野。
Ya(elegant) and yan(erotic) are a pair of closely related concepts which have rich connotation in Ci studies. In the perspective of the Ci history, Ci was mainly to express erotic feelings from the late Tang and Five Dynasties to the Northern Song Dynasty. By the end of the Northern Song Dynasty, ya and yan began to be distinguished in concept. In the Southern Song Dynasty, ya was advocated and yan belittled to main stream academincs, while in the Yuan and Ming Dynasties, yan returned to the main stream. The benshi ci in the early Qing Dynasty kept away from pornographic and vulgar works since they expressed the sincere feelings of poets and their beloved ladies, and thus it is deemed as self-redemption of yan ci. Zhexi Ci School discarded yan and advocated ya. Changzhou Ci School introduced bianya style and aiyan sentiment, which provided a new interpretive space for ya and yan conceptions. Both of the schools insisted “ya but not yan, ” and the different interpretations of this point of view drew the division of them.
