摘要
[目的/意义]刻书是图书事业重要的组成部分,江苏是图书刊刻、销售、收藏、流转的繁盛之地。本文对江苏明清以来私家与坊间刻的情况进行梳理,系统回顾江苏明清以来的书籍发展历史,以期为后续相关研究提供借鉴。[方法/过程]对有关江苏的书籍出版、发行、流通的代表性著作进行文献考察,通过典型案例反映明清以来江苏私家与坊刻书籍的大致情况。[结果/结论]明代前期江苏私家刻书较少,至中后期愈加繁荣,技术水平与刻书质量均较高,坊刻发展愈加成熟,形成苏州、金陵两个坊刻中心。藏书家刻书在清代是非常重要的文化现象,苏州书坊上承明代的强势,继续保持在全国的领先地位。至民国时期,随着铅字排版印刷术的传入,私家刻书与坊刻均趋于没落。
[Purpose/significance]Book engraving is an important part of the book industry,and Jiangsu is the center of book engraving,sales,collection and circulation.This paper combs the situation of private book engraving and workshop engraving in Jiangsu since the Ming and Qing Dynasties,in order to systematically review the development history of books in Jiangsu since the Ming and Qing Dynasties,and provide reference for subsequent related research.[Method/process]Literature review was conducted on representative works related to the publication,distribution and circulation of books in Jiangsu,and typical cases were used to reflect the general situation of private and square engraved books in Jiangsu since the Ming and Qing Dynasties.[Result/conclusion]There were few private engravings in the early Ming Dynasty,but they became more and more prosperous in the middle and late Ming Dynasty.Private engravings had the highest technology and quality in the engraving industry of the Ming Dynasty,and Jiangsu square carving became more and more mature,forming two square carving centers,Suzhou and Jinling.Book engraving by collectors was a very important cultural phenomenon in the Qing Dynasty.Suzhou bookstores continued to maintain a leading position in the country,inheriting the strength of the Ming Dynasty.During the Republic of China,with the introduction of typesetting and printing,the wind of woodcut tended to decline.
