摘要
理论研究连续波Ho:LLF激光器在线偏振谐振泵浦,激光本征模的正交偏振开关延迟动力学特性。基于相位敏感的激光动力学模型,考虑激光晶体的光学各向异性,数值分析泵浦光在垂直方向上进行偏振切变时,腔各向异性诱发振荡本征模的正交偏振开关和瞬态延迟响应。研究结果发现,泵浦光偏振切换会导致两个正交偏振本征腔模之间产生严重的偏振模竞争作用,并由此引发混沌现象及增大延迟开关时间。指出光注入法可以有效地抑制开关动力学中的偏振模竞争效应和缩减偏振模开关时间,有助于改善正交偏振开关稳定性,为设计开发2μm波段单纵模正交偏振开关激光器提供了理论指导。
We theoretically study the polarization switching delay dynamics of linear-polarized resonant-pumped Ho:LLF laser under single-longitudinal-mode continuous-wave operation.By using the phase-sensitive laser dynamics model and considering the optical anisotropy of laser crystal,numerical analysis is performed when the pump undergoes polarization switching in the orthogonal direction.The cavity anisotropy induces orthogonal polarization switching of the eigenmodes and transient dynamics of the delayed response.The results show that the pump polarization switching causes the serious mode competition between the two eigen-cavity modes at orthogonal polarization states.This results in the chaos of relaxation oscillation and increases the switching delay time.The seed-injection method is presented to effectively suppress the mode competition effect in the polarization switching dynamics,with the reduction of switching delay time.It is helpful to improve the stability of the orthogonal polarization switching,and to develop 2μm-band orthogonal polarization switching lasers.
