The working principle, technical performance characteristics and installation key point of pitot tube flowmeter are introduced in detail. Aiming at application case of pitot tube flowmeter in the production metering on offshore oil platform, process pipeline flow, removal of faults and alternative scheme comparison are analyzed with emphasis. The installation scheme, factory acceptance test and implementation effect of pitot tube flowmeter are introduced. The application effect shows that natural gas stable measurement is realized after using pilot tube flowmeter, and feasibility of pitot tube flowmeter alternative solution is verified.
