摘要
《近思录》是朱熹通过道统谱系以建构道学体系的尝试。《近思录》由两部分构成:道之体与道之用,合起来就是所谓“内圣外王之道”的道学体系。《近思录》首篇“道体”是形而上意义的哲学思辨,终篇“圣贤气象”是得道的形而上精神境界,首尾均以“道体”呼应贯通,体现出道学的学术旨趣与思想特色。《近思录》中间的十多篇均是“道之用”,即是形而下意义的行道工夫与礼乐刑政,可以详细了解道学之大用。《近思录》确立的道学体系,在道学建构有重要开拓意义,对后学编辑《朱子语类》《性理大全》《朱子大全》产生历史影响。
Reflections on Things at Hand(《近思录》)was written by Zhu Xi(朱熹)in an attempt to construct a system of the Study of the Way(道学)through a genealogical succession of the Way(道统).This book is composed of two parts:the Substance of the Way(道之体)and the Function of the Way(体之用),which were integrated into the system of the Study of the Way,in the sense of“the Way of inner sageliness and outer kingliness”(内圣外王之道).The first chapter of the book contains Zhu Xi’s philosophical reflections on the Substance of the Way in a metaphysical sense,while its last chapter describes the metaphysically spiritual realm in which the sages and men of virtue attained the Way.Both the first and the last chapters are mutually interwoven and interrelated with“the Substance of the Way”,embodying the academic interests and ideological characteristics of the Study of the Way.About a dozen of chapters in the middle part of this book are related to“the Function of the Way”,and concerned with the skills to attain the Way(行道工夫)in the physical sense(形而下意义),and also concerned with rites,music,justice and administration(礼乐刑政),thus providing a fairly comprehensive summary of the Function of the Study of the Way.The system of the Study of the Way established in Reflections on Things at Hand was of great pioneering significance to the construction of the Study of the Way,and produced a historical influence upon Zhu Xi’s followers who compiled the Topically Arranged Conversations of Master Zhu Xi(朱子语类),the Great Compendium of Nature and Principle(性理大全),and the Complete Works of Master Zhu Xi(《朱子大全》).
