摘要
本文使用中国老年社会追踪调查2014年数据,考察了老年人参与隔代照料的强度对其身体健康、精神健康的异质性影响。研究发现,第一,老年人参与隔代照料对其自评身体健康存在显著的积极作用,但对精神健康没有显著影响,两种不同的效应在使用倾向得分匹配方法处理样本选择效应导致的内生性问题之后依然成立;第二,隔代照料的效应存在性别、年龄、两代同住、城乡居住安排的异质性,即隔代照料对女性和农村居民的自评健康有显著积极影响,对与子女不同住的老人和小于70岁的老人的精神健康有显著积极影响;第三,子女的情感支持、老年人的社区参与和人际互动是隔代照料影响老年人身体健康的作用机制,上述机制在精神健康的路径中没有得到验证。本文从照料补贴、社区建设等角度提出改善老年群体健康的政策建议。
This article uses the 2014 data of the China Longitudinal Aging Social Survey to analyze the heterogeneous impact of intergenerational care on their physical health and mental health.The findings of this study are as follows:First,the participation of the elderly in intergenerational care has a significant positive effect on their self-evaluated health,but it has no effect on mental health.These two different effects are still valid after the propensity score matching method deals with endogenous problems caused by sample selection.Second,the effect of intergenerational care has a heterogeneous effect,that is,intergenerational care has a positive impact on the self-evaluated health of women and the rural,and a positive impact on the mental health of the old people who were not live with their children and people who were younger than 70-year-old.Third,emotional support,community participation,and interpersonal interaction are the mechanism by which intergenerational care affects the elderly’s physical health,however,this effect does not stand on mental health.This article puts forward policy suggestions to improve the health of the elderly from the perspectives of care subsidies and community construction.
