摘要
《赌徒别传》是锡金创作于1941年的一部戏剧,它改编于陀思妥耶夫斯基的中篇小说《赌徒》,其创作动机:一是对当时上海赌风猖獗的愤慨;二是《赌徒》中陀思妥耶夫斯基情感挫折经历隐喻性表达的心灵共鸣。在《赌徒别传》中,锡金保留了原作中对赌徒心理刻画的优点,对开头凌乱、头绪太繁、结尾草率、阴冷而绝望的感觉等缺点进行了创造性的改动,它是上海沦陷时期改编剧创作的宝贵资料,具有典型的海派文学特征。
Another story of the gambler is a play written by Xi-jin in 1941 which is adapted from Dostoevsky's The gambler.Its creative motivation is the indignation of the rampant gambling in Shanghai at that time,and the spiritual resonance of the metaphorical expression of Dostoevsky's emotional frustration experience in The gambler.In Another story of the gambler,Xi-jin retains the advantages of the psychological depiction of the gambler in the original work,and makes creative changes to the defects of messy beginning,complicated beginning,hasty ending,cold and desperate feeling.It is a valuable material for the creation of adapted dramas in the period of Shanghai occupied by Japanese invaders,and has the characteristics of typical Shanghai literature.
