Peter Frankopan's The Silk Roads:A New History of The World re-examines the historical development of the entire world over thousands of years in a time-space framework with the Silk Road as the center in a way that is very different from writing of Western orthodox history.By examining the shifting process of the center of gravity from the East to the West in the development of world history,he found that the Silk Road was a key area that affected the political structure, rise and fall of various countries, and the redistribution of global wealth. This book explores the impact of the Silk Road on the development of world history, for which serves as a space and a way for the East and the West to learn from each other in religion, philosophy, language, science and technology,as well as the influence of invisible substances such as the spread of epidemics in trade exchanges on the development of world history.
