三维电子地图的天气LOD符号设计

摘要 地图符号是对地理现象抽象化后的示意性表达。作为地图语言表达的基本单元,地图符号的设计需要考虑到语义、语用以及语法三个方面。符号的语法结构在常规地图设计中往往只限于线状、面状符号的语言学规则,而疏忽点状符号的设计。本研究将多层次可视化(levels of detail,LOD)思想引入到点状符号设计中,展示符号的多层次多精细度特征,从而帮助受众获得现象的多维特征,体现出符号的自适应性。本研究以天气符号为例,通过天气类型、区域尺度和受众认知效应的分析,划分了天气符号的不同LOD细节,实现了由二维符号到三维符号再到粒子系统符号的转变,为受众提供基于LOD的天气类型认知效应。 Map symbol is a general representation after the abstraction of geographical phenomena. As the basic unit of map language expression,the design of map symbols needs to take into account three aspects:semantic,language use and gramma.The grammatical structure of symbols is often limited to the linguistic rules of linear,facial symbols in conventional map design,while the negligent design of dotted symbols. This study introduced LOD multi-level visualization idea into the dot symbol design to showing multi-level multi-fine features of symbols,thus helping the audience to obtain multidimensional characteristics of the phenomenon and reflect the adaptability of symbols. Through the analysis of weather types,regional scale and audience cognitive effect,it divided different LOD details of weather symbols,realized the transformation from two-dimensional symbol to three-dimensional symbol to particle system symbol,and provided LOD-based weather type cognitive effect for the audience.
