摘要
通过对河南省C市卡车司机群体劳动过程和家庭生活的考察,描述了该群体“养家人”形象的男性气质建构过程。研究发现,不同于中产阶级家庭育儿实践,工人阶级的父职履行呈现出独特的“劳动教育”属性。由于劳动和工作安排的特殊性,卡车司机无法像大部分父亲一样在家庭的日常生活中履行父亲职责;但这并不意味着他们放弃了自己的家庭责任,而是以“补偿式的父爱”和“带娃上路”等方式来履行他们的父职。本研究描绘了现实生活中更加积极、主动和努力承担家庭责任的工人阶级父亲形象,丰富了我们对父职实践特殊性和多样性的认识,并倡导关注父职履行的外部环境性因素。
By investigating the labor process and family life of the truck driver group in C City,Henan Province,this article describes the masculinity construction process of this group's breadwinner image.Different from the parenting practices in middle-class families,the fulfillment of fatherhood amongst working class presents a unique approach:labour education.Due to the peculiarities of labor and work arrangements,truck drivers,unlike most fathers,cannot perform their fatherly duties in daily life,which,nonetheless,does not mean that they give up their family responsibilities,instead,their fathering is delivered through such means of"compensatory paternal love"and"carrying their children in the truck".The image of working-class father who are more active,initiative,and diligent to bear family responsibilities in real life is portrayed here,which enriches our understanding of the particularity and diversity of paternity practice and advocates attention to external environmental factors in the performance of paternity.
