摘要
基于阿德勒的个体心理学理论,阐述了菲茨杰拉德的小说创作与其内心深处的自卑情结密不可分的关系。因为家庭出身带来的羞耻感、爱情中遭遇的创伤以及美国梦的幻灭等造成的自卑心理,成为菲茨杰拉德进行小说创作的深层心理动因。为了疗愈自卑引起的心理失衡,菲茨杰拉德在小说创作中朝着获取安全感和优越感的方向进行书写和虚构,实现对自卑的过度补偿。从某种程度来说,正是这种追求卓越、过度补偿的努力,造就了菲茨杰拉德在文学上的非凡成就。
Based on Adler′s theory of individual psychology,this paper expounds the inseparable relationship between Fitzgerald′s novel creation and his inner inferiority complex.The inferiority complex caused by the shame of family origin,the trauma encountered in love,and the disillusionment of the American dream has become the deep psychological motivation of Fitzgerald′s novel creation.In order to cure the psychological imbalance caused by inferiority complex,Fitzgerald wrote and made up his novels in the direction of obtaining a sense of security and superiority,so as to realize the excessive compensation for inferiority complex.To a certain extent,it is this pursuit of excellence and excessive compensation that has created Fitzgerald′s extraordinary achievements in literature.
