摘要
中国海相第四系主要沉积类型为碎屑沉积和生物礁沉积,陆相第四系岩性多变,相比已建立起高精度气候地层年代学标尺的海相地层来说,中国陆相第四纪地层尚未建立起统一的年代地层系统,这为地层的跨区域识别和对比带来了困难。解决这一科学问题的思路之一是针对陆相地层的岩性分布特征,分区域进行小规模、小范围的总结和推广。中国陆相更新统自下而上包括下更新统泥河湾阶、中更新统周口店阶和上更新统萨拉乌苏阶,全新统待建阶。本文在这个地层划分框架的指导下,将中国第四纪陆相地层分为黄土-古土壤序列、沙漠戈壁、网纹红土、河湖相和山麓堆积、洞穴/裂隙堆积及其他类型岩石地层几大类,海相地层按照碎屑沉积和生物礁沉积划分,并在每一类地层单元下遵循岩性组合、地貌类型和构造背景相似的原则进行归纳,分区域探讨并总结近年来与其相关的代表性研究进展,为早日建立统一的陆相第四系年代地层系统贡献力量。
The Quaternary marine strata of China,which are mainly comprised of detrital and biogenic reef deposits,are now well constrained by high-resolution climatostratigraphy time scale.In contrast,a consolidated chronostratigraphic framework of Chinese continental sedimentary successions consist of various lithology needs to be established to facilitate the transregional identification and correlation of strata.One of the possible solutions for this issue is to provide regional integrative timescales according to the distribution and different types of continental strata.From oldest to youngest,the Chinese continental Pleistocene Series consists of the Nihewanian Stage of the Lower Pleistocene,the Zhoukoudianian Stage of the Middle Pleistocene,and the Salawusuan Stage of the Upper Pleistocene.Stages of the continental Holocene Series have not yet been established.Under the guidance of this division,the sedimentary successions from land and sea in China are classified into six(loess-paleosol sequence,Gobi and desert,vermiculate red soil,luvial-lacustrine and alluvial-proluvial deposits,cave/fissure sediments as well as other types of lithostratigraphy)and two(detrital and biogenic reef deposits)categories,respectively.Moreover,recent progress involving Chinese Quaternary chronostratigraphy in different regions are disscussed and summarized in proper order based on their lithology,geomorphology and tectonic background.
