摘要
《弗洛斯河上的磨坊》是英国女作家乔治·艾略特于1860年完成的一部半自传体式小说。小说描写了工业革命浪潮对英国传统乡村生活方式的冲击,从而引发的人与自然、人与人以及人与自我关系的疏离与失衡。通过生态批评的视角来探讨这种身心失衡以及人际疏离的异化状态,进而分析主体的精神困境与自我意识的觉醒,最终为异化的人性寻求回归之路。
The Mill on the Floss is a semi-autobiographical novel written by British woman writer George Eliot in 1860.The novel describes the impact of industrial revolution wave on the traditional rural lifestyle in England,which leads to the alienation and imbalance of some relationships,including human and nature,human beings as well as man and oneself.From the perspective of eco-criticism,this paper discusses the physical and psychological imbalances and the interpersonal alienation state,and then analyzes the spiritual dilemma of the protagonists and their self-consciousness awakening,and finally seeks a comprehensive balance and return to human nature.
