Acting in concert with the thoughts of Confucianism and Historiography of Ma Li,Lv Nan,Cui Xian and other literati from Shaanxi and Henan provinces,Kang Hai’s literary ideology embodied the characteristics of fusing Confucianism in the construction of Historiography, which played a significant role in establishing the idea that"the model essay is in the Qin and Han Dynasties"---the movement of literary revivalism.Inheriting the traditions of Confucianism and Historiography in Pre-Qin and Han dynasties,Kang Hai tended to create by learning from the experiences of learning ancient prose and from the admiration of the works of Duke of Zhou,Confucius and Mencius, which is no difference with revivalism’s imitation of articles in Pre-Qin and Han dynasties---the grand narrative of the feelings of family and country and the practical features of pragmatism, and carrying on the nature of true temperament and generous character manifest in prose in Pre-Qin dynasty(the primitively simple, solemn and sincere style of writing).During this period, imitative writings came into climax among Shaanxi literati, and influenced profoundly the writing of Chronicles and family lineage.Studies of Confucianism and Historiography acted in cooperation with literary revivalism writings, which constructs the background of the development of literary revivalism movement.
