摘要
罗泽南是晚清理学经世派的著名代表人物,也是近代湖湘文化与湘中地域血性文化孕育出来的典型人物。他治学严谨,尊崇宋儒之学,探其精微,得其奥义,并结合自己的人生实践和认识体悟,形成了以程朱理学为基础并深受湖湘文化影响的具有自身特色的理学经世思想。尊崇程朱理学、捍卫封建纲常、重视思想教育、坚持忠义血性、倡导经世致用、热心文治武功,是罗泽南基本的文化品格,也是其理学经世思想的精神内核。罗泽南以理学经世思想为导引,首兴湘勇,对湘军的创建、训练、治军及其内部组织结构与军制的确立,发挥了重要的作用,产生了重要的影响,从而赢得了"湘军儒将""湘军之母"的称誉。罗泽南理学经世思想对曾国藩、刘蓉、郭松焘、李续宾、蒋益澧等湘军将帅及相关名臣产生了深刻的影响,并对晚清学术风气的转变与近世湖湘经世派文化的兴盛有着重要的影响。
Luo Zenan was a famous representative of the Confucian school in the late Qing Dynasty,and also a typical figure born out of the modern Hunan culture and the regional courage and uprightness culture in central Hunan.He was rigorous in his study and respected Confucianism in the Song Dynasty,probing into its subtleness and acquiring its profound meanings.Combined with his own life practice and understanding,he formed his own characteristic Neo-Confucianism thoughts,which was based on Cheng-Zhu Neo-Confucianism and deeply influenced by Hunan culture.The basic cultural character of Luo Zenan is to respect Cheng-Zhu Neo-Confucianism,to defend the feudal ethical code,to attach importance to ideological education,to insist on loyalty,righteousness,courage and uprightness,to advocate humanistic pragmatism,and to be enthusiastic about the administration of the literary and martial arts,which is also the spiritual core of his Neo-Confucianism administration.Luo Zenan,under the guidance of Confucianism,first promoted the courage of Hunan,and played an important role in the establishment,training,administration,internal organization structure and military system of the Hunan Army,thus winning the reputation of "Confucianism general of the Hunan Army" and "father of the Hunan Army".Luo Zenan′s Neo-Confucianism theory had a profound influence on Zeng Guofan,Liu Rong,Guo Songtao,Li Xubin,Jiang Yili and other generals and related famous officials of the Hunan Army,and also had an important influence on the change of academic atmosphere in the late Qing Dynasty and the prosperity of Hunan school of Confucian culture in modern times.
