摘要
为解决传统零极点固定的连续时间线性均衡器(CTLE)只能针对特定信道均衡的问题,在TSMC 28 nm CMOS工艺下,设计了一个可工作在28 Gbps数据速率下的自适应CTLE均衡器。该CTLE通过斜率检测技术来比较均衡输出信号与理想信号的斜率,从而生成控制信号去自动调节CTLE的零极点位置,以便适应不同的信道,进而达到自适应均衡的目的。仿真结果表明,在28 Gbps的数据速率下更换不同损耗的信道,该自适应CTLE均能起到显著的均衡效果,均衡补偿范围可达1~14 dB。经过自适应均衡后眼图的水平张开度均达到了0.9个码元间隔(UI)以上。
Traditional continuous time linear equalizer(CTLE)with fixed poles and zeros can only provide equalization for specific channels.To solve this problem,under TSMC 28 nm CMOS process,an adaptive CTLE equalizer was designed to work at a data rate of 28 Gbps.The CTLE used slope detection technology to compare the slope of the equalized output signal with that of the ideal signal,then generates a control signal to automatically adjust the position of CTLE's zeros and poles,so as to adapt to different channels and achieve the purpose of adaptive equalization.The simulation results show that the adaptive CTLE can achieve significant equalization effects for channels with different losses at data rate of 28 Gbps,and the compensating range of the equalizer can reach 1-14 dB.After adaptive equalization,the horizontal opening degree of the eye diagram is above 0.9 unit interval(UI).
