Objective To investigate the clinical effect of sonographically located sacral nerve electroacupuncture in the treatment of female overactive bladder(OAB).Methods Seventy-four OAB female patients were randomly divided into observation group and control group, with 37 cases in each group. The control group received manual and experiential location of the sacral nerve, while the observation group received ultrasonic guided location of the sacral nerve, and electroacupuncture stimulation of the sacral nerve root. The average number of urination, emergency symptom score and OABSS score were compared before and after treatment, and the efficacy was evaluated. Results Compared with before treatment, the daily number of urination, emergency symptom score and OABSS score in 2 groups were improved at 1 month,3 months and 6 months after treatment(P<0.05).After 1 month of treatment, the scores of urgency and OABSS in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).After 3 months of treatment, the daily urination frequency of the observation group was lower than that of the control group(P<0.05),and OABSS score was lower than that of the control group(P<0.05).At 6 months after treatment,OABSS score in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Ultrasound-guided localization of sacral nerves followed by electrical stimulation in the treatment of OAB in women is effective and safe.
