摘要
果戈理的戏剧《钦差大臣》被公认为一场绝妙的官场现形记,但实际上这场官场现形记是由一封封信件引发并完成的。《钦差大臣》中的书信具有类似“第三只眼”的特点和功能,成为果戈理作为剧作家精妙布局的典型体现:他将书信作为编织故事的手段,以信为引,埋伏笔拓情节;他借助“读信”与“写信”的方式、利用信件的聚焦和反射效果塑造人物,将恶吏们的丑相刻画得淋漓尽致;他运用书信实现对他者和自我的揭露,营造戏剧视角的差异效果,增强讽刺的张力,从而解构出整个官僚集团的腐败与荒唐。
The Government Inspector,written by Nikolai Gogol,is regarded as an perfect disclosure of the official world,but in fact the exposure is triggered and completed by letters.In this sense,the letters in the play enjoy characteristics and functions similar to“the third eye”,which serves as a typical manifestation of Gogol’s subtle layout as a playwright.He used letters as a means of weaving stories,citing letters as a guide and arranging the plot.Through the way of“reading letters”and“writing letters”to shape characters by using the focus and reflection of letters to portray the ugliness of the villains.Letters are used to expose the others and the self,create a difference effect from the dramatic perspective and enhance the tension of satire,thus deconstruct the corruption and absurdity of the entire bureaucratic group.
