The existence of hybrid demigods in the ancient Greek mythological system reflects the psychological orientation of the early human personification of creation. As a result of this amalgamation of ideas, these halfanimal,half-human figures were constantly"transformed"in the process of visualization and reproduction, resulting in a change and derivation of their primarily allegorical and symbolic nature.Among them, the early group of satyrs with human physiognomy, characterized by donkey ears and horses'tails, and whose image eventually broke away from the mythological prototype, merged and fixed with the image of Pan,which only appeared later, thus turning into a typical allegorical image in the Western art field.By tracing the transformation process of the inner meaning and outer form of the satyr figure,it is not difficult to find that the literary resources and image schemes provided by the culture and visual arts of the Renaissance have profoundly affected this process. While reorganizing and interpreting sources of ancient knowledge, the humanists at that time also explored the relationship between the human"inner self"and the external world through the symbolic interpretation and visual reconstruction of the image of the satyr, thus completing the figure's transition to modernization.
