摘要
五行根植于中国传统文化沃土,奠定了中国传统思维的基本模式。五行学说作为中医理论的基石,其所蕴含的推理是中医思维的灵魂。伴随认知科学的脚步,五行学说的研究发生了认知转向。然而累累之研究硕果,尚未涉及五行推理的大脑认知神经机制。文章提出一个基于认知神经科学的五行推理研究的新动态,并为之提出了一个工作假说:五行推理分为同行归类推理和五行生克推理,其本质是"推类",其认知过程是"个别-普遍-特殊",包含复杂的分类机制和类比机制。应用事件相关电位和功能性磁共振成像技术,测试大脑进行各类五行推理任务时产生的神经生理活动,揭示其时空变化,将五行推理的大脑神经生理活动转变为可视化存在,藉此揭示五行推理所蕴含的中医特异性思维机制。将历史悠久的中医五行学说与方兴未艾的脑科学研究技术相结合,为阐明中医思维的独特性提供来自认知神经科学的新视角,无疑具有重要意义。
The five elements rooted in Chinese traditional culture establish the basic mode of Chinese traditional thinking.As the cornerstone of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)theory,the theory of five elements contains a distinct reasoning mode which form the core of TCM thinking.With the develop of cognitive science,the trend of research on five elements theory has undergone a cognitive turn.However,numerous studies have yielded fruitful results while little have involved the cognitive neural mechanism of the five elements reasoning.Presently,a new development in the research of the five elements reasoning based on cognitive neuroscience is proposed,as well as a working hypothesis for it:Basically,five elements reasoning contains reasoning in classification and between mutual generation and restriction which follows the step of‘classifying then reasoning’.It can be divided into‘individual-universal-special’phases,of which the cognitive processes include complex cognitive mechanism of classification and analogy.Event related potential and functional magnetic resonance technology could be used to test the neurophysiological activities of the brain when performing various five-element reasoning tasks,which will reveal the temporal and spatial changes of the brain.The cognitive neuroscience technology will transform the neurophysiological activities to a visible existence,thereby uncover the specific thinking mechanism five elements reasoning as well as TCM.It is undoubtedly of great significance to combine the time-honored theory of the five elements in TCM with the ascending research technology in brain science to provide a new perspective from cognitive neuroscience to clarify the uniqueness of TCM thinking.
