珊瑚礁岩石磁学、环境磁学和磁性地层学研究进展 被引量:1

Research Progress of Coral Reef Rock Magnetism, Environmental Magnetism and Magnetostratigraphy

摘要 本文系统总结了珊瑚礁的岩石磁学、环境磁学和磁性地层学研究,尤其是磁性矿物类型、来源以及磁学性质对气候的响应等方面的成果,归纳出珊瑚礁磁性矿物的主要类型为:磁铁矿、磁铁矿或磁赤铁矿的混合物、碎屑钛磁铁矿颗粒等,且磁性矿物的粒径从单畴到多畴都有分布。关于磁性矿物的来源,目前存在以下3种观点:磁性矿物主要来自海水中含有的陆源物质;微生物成因;火山碎屑矿物成因。在气候响应记录方面,珊瑚礁的环境磁学参数与其他方法相结合,可以很好地指示气候的冷暖状态、大陆输入通量、火山或地震活动,以及海啸灾难等重大突发构造活动或气候事件。综上,珊瑚礁中的磁性矿物类型和来源多样,因此需要采用磁学与非磁学方法进行多学科交叉研究,才能更深入探讨其磁性特征对气候事件的响应与记录。 This paper systematically summarizes previous studies on rock magnetism, environmental magnetism and magnetostratigraphy of coral reefs, especially on magnetic mineral types, magnetic mineral sources, and the response of magnetic properties to climate changes. The magnetic minerals of coral reef include magnetite, mixture of single-domain and multi-domain magnetite or magnetohematite, clastic titanium magnetite particles, and single-domain crystals similar to magnetocrystals produced by magnetotactic bacteria and algae. The sources of magnetic minerals are:(1) terrigenous substances contained in seawater, these terrigenous substances can be preserved in coral reef deposits through filtration and adsorption of seawater by coral polyps or other reef-attached organisms during coral growth;(2) microbial origin;and(3) volcanic rock clastic. In addition, environmental magnetic proxies of coral reefs are linked to climate changes, continental input fluxes, volcanic or seismic activities, and major sudden tectonic activities or climate events such as tsunami disasters. In summary, to better understand responses of magnetic characteristics to climate changes, the types and sources of magnetic minerals in coral reefs should be determined by integrate multiple methods.
