摘要
采用自制低分子量溴化聚苯乙烯(LBPS)和三氧化二锑(Sb2O3)复配制备协同阻燃剂,添加至聚对苯二甲酸乙二醇酯(PET)中,利用热失重分析仪、差示扫描量热仪、锥形量热仪、电子式万能试验机等对阻燃PET的热稳定性、阻燃性能和力学性能进行了研究。结果表明,阻燃PET中溴质量分数8%~10%,UL94阻燃级别均达V-0级,溴质量分数在9%~10%时极限氧指数达35%以上,溴质量分数在9%时阻燃PET的拉伸强度和冲击强度均达到较佳水平;阻燃剂的加入使PET的初始分解温度降低30℃,熔融温度基本保持不变;阻燃剂的加入有效降低PET的燃烧总时间、总热释放量、热释放速率峰值和CO2产量,但总烟气释放量和CO产量增加。
A synergistic flame retardant composed of low molecular weight bromopolystyrene(LBPS)compound and antimony trioxide(Sb2O3),was incorporated into polyethylene terephthalate(PET)for preparing flame retardant PET.The thermal stability, flame retardancy and mechanical properties of the flame retardant PET were characterized by thermogravimetric analyzer, differential scanning calorimeter, cone calorimeter, electronic universal testing machine and so on.According to the research results, the flame retardant UL94 grade could reach V-0 level when the bromine contents in flame retardant PET is about 8%~10%.The limited oxygen index could reach above 35%,when the bromine contents in flame retardant PET is 9%~10%.When the content of bromine is 9%,the tensile strength and impact strength could achieve an optimal level.The initial decomposition temperature of flame retardant PET could decrease about 30 ℃ with the addition of flame retardants LBPS,but their melting temperature basically is unchanged.The addition of flame retardant could effectively decrease the total burning time, total heat release, heat release rate peak and yield of carbon dioxide, however, the total flue gas release and yield of carbon oxide increase.
