General Secretary Xi Jinping stated in his speech at the ceremony marking the centenary of the Communist Party of China that Marxism is the fundamental guiding ideology upon which our Party and country are founded.Xi added that we must continue to adapt the basic tenets of Marxism to China’s specific realities and its fine traditional culture and that we will use Marxism to observe,understand,and steer the trends of our times.The Communist Party of China has always adhered to the universal truth of Marxism during its century-long struggle,attached great importance to the compilation and dissemination of Marxist works,and written a moving chapter in the history of the spread of Marxism.In the new journey,we should take Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era as our guide,constantly reach a new realm in the development of Marxism,and ensure that Marxism shines even more brightly with the light of truth.
