摘要
云冈石窟的中心塔柱已多有研究,而浮雕塔的相关讨论却并不充分。本文全面整理云冈浮雕塔遗存,在传统类型学方法基础上,充分考虑各窟整体图像布局和营造情况,从历时角度探讨云冈浮雕塔情况及流变原因。同时,本文尝试厘清浮雕塔与既往研究中语焉不详的层柱之间的关系,也就云冈二期石窟断代问题提供了新的考察思路。
Previous scholarship has discussed extensively on the central-pillar layout in Yungang Cave-temples.Yet the rich remains of pagoda reliefs has not received sufficient discussion,leaving their iconography,context,and pictorial configuration underexplored.The present study employs a contextual approach,in addition to the traditional typological method,to study pagoda reliefs at Yungang.In light ofthe overall pictorial program in caves housing pagoda reliefs,and the chronology of Yungang Cave-temples,I explore the various types of Yungang pagoda reliefs and their correlations.This study also contends that the multi-story column was mistaken as pagodas in previous scholarship and provides new perspectives on the debate over the chronology of Phase II caves at Yungang.
