摘要
叙事时间是电影组成的重要元素。叙事学家热耐特就叙事时间提出了时距、时序和频率等概念,为研究时间在叙事作品中的特点和功能提供了依据。影片《奇幻人生》在叙事时间方面具有突出的表现力:顺序与预序使影片呈现出多角度变化;概要、场景与停顿的交错使用使故事表现出不同节奏;重复叙事的巧妙运用又从侧面勾勒出了故事全貌。这样的叙事时间安排不仅为观众呈现出了一个富有悬念的故事,也为表现主人公哈罗德面临人生困境,寻找生命意义起了重要作用。
Narrative time is an important element of film composition. Genette, a classical narrator,puts forward the concepts of time distance, time sequence and frequency, which provides a basis for studying the characteristics and functions of time in narrative works. Stranger than Fiction has an outstanding expressive power in the above three aspects:Narration and flashforward present the film from different aspects;the story appears different rhythm by using summary and scene and pause;the interative narration outlines the whole story indirectly. It not only presents a suspense story for the audience, but also plays an important role in showing the protagonist Harold’s life dilemma and seeking the meaning of life.
