摘要
传统语法对“X-ly+ADJ”构式中副词做出的“程度限制”解释,容易形成再无其他“新意”可以挖掘的错误印象。其实,在语法限制的思维定势之外,该构式展现着无限的修辞魅力与丰富的修辞功能。基于范畴化理论,系统剖析构式中的X ly副词语义功能,发掘该构式的修辞规律。研究发现,随着构式副词从典型“程度义”到非典型“原义”的过渡,其语法限制性逐渐让位于语义描述性,修辞性渐次凸显;构式副词在经历非范畴化及重新范畴化的过程中,赋予构式以更多的语义内涵及修辞功能。聚焦于该构式研究很少涉及的方面,并尝试以图形—背景的凸显观对连续统进行认知分析,可以在一定程度上弥补相关研究的空白,而且通过实例分析发掘的修辞规律,对于写作实践也具有一定的指导意义。
The“degree limitation”interpretation of adverbs in the“X-ly+ADJ”construction in traditional grammar tends to lead to the misunderstanding that there is no other“novelty”to be explored.As a matter of fact,this construction shows infinite rhetorical charm and function in addition to the mindset of grammatical constraints.Accordingly,based on the de categorization theory,the semantic functions of X-ly adverbs in the construction are systematically analyzed,and the rhetorical rules of the construction are explored.It is found that with the transition of constructional adverbs from typical“degree meaning”to atypical“original meaning”,their grammatical constraints gradually give way to semantic description,and their rhetoric effects become more prominent;in the process of de categorization and re categorization,the constructional adverbs are endowed with more semantic connotations and rhetorical functions.In view of focusing on the aspects rarely involved in the study of this construction and trying to carry out the cognitive analysis of the continuum with the salience view of figure ground theory,this paper is supposed to make up for the gap in relevant research to a certain ex-tent.Moreover,the rhetorical rules discovered by analyzing examples are also of certain guiding significance for the writing practice.
