摘要
典籍中,“诛”的“惩罚”和“诛杀”义有时难以区分,“诛”的词义呈现由轻到重的演变趋势。战国中期以后,“诛”的“诛杀”义较之其他义项已经取得强势地位,若无特定的上下文限制,“诛”通常为“诛杀”之义。
When interpretating the word zhu(诛)in classic books,it’s sometimes difficult to determine its meaning as punish(惩罚)or kill(诛杀).The semantic degree of the word zhu has evolved from moderation to gravity.“Kill”became the most prominent meaning of zhu after mid-Warring States period(B.C476-256),compared with other meanings of zhu.The word zhu usually means kill if not related to specific contexts.
