摘要
本文基于2006~2019年长江经济带108个城市的面板数据,建立联立方程模型,探讨产业集聚模式对城市人口规模和经济发展的作用机制。结果表明:城市人口规模和经济发展存在互相影响的作用规律,多样化产业集聚对城市人口规模和经济发展的独立效应分别表现出不显著和显著促进的特征,协同效应依次起到有助于促进经济发展和扩大城市人口规模的作用,而专业化产业集聚的独立效应和协同效应均不显著;进一步引入城市规模的虚拟变量,多样化产业集聚至少对中等及以上城市的经济发展、人口规模的一方面发挥积极的推动作用,专业化产业集聚只对小城市释放了经济发展红利。因此在比较优势下,中等及以上城市应选择多样化的产业集聚模式,“小而精”的专业化产业集聚模式与小城市发展更为契合。
Based on the panel data of 108 cities in the Yangtze River Economic Belt from 2006 to 2019,a simultaneous equation model is established to explore the effect mechanism of industrial agglomeration pattern on urban population size and economic development.Research shows that:urban population scale and economic development have mutual influences.The independent effects of diversified industrial agglomeration on urban population scale and economic development show the characteristics of insignificant and significant promotion respectively.The synergy effect plays an important role in promoting economic development and expanding the size of urban population,while the independent and synergistic effects of specialized industrial agglomeration are not significant.By further introducing dummy variables of city size,diversified industrial agglomeration plays a positive role in promoting economic development and population size of medium and above cities at least,while specialized industrial agglomeration only releases economic development dividends for small cities.Therefore,under the comparative advantage,medium and above cities should choose diversified industrial agglomeration mode,and the“small but fine”specialized industrial agglomeration mode is more suitable for the development of small cities.
