摘要
对视觉艺术的论述是罗斯金艺术思想的主要表现形式之一,他强调传统视觉艺术所具有的认识、审美、教育功能,同时提出视觉艺术体现道德意义的核心。罗斯金向我们揭示了建筑、绘画、装饰等艺术形式所表现的真理内涵,以及其通过艺术图像的审美功能和实用功能所进行的传达。他提倡通过普及劳工阶层的艺术教育来弥合社会整体道德意识的缺失。这种“艺术社会主义”思想为我们反思当代视觉艺术过度追求艺术技法、审美自律而忽视艺术道德价值的倾向,具有重要借鉴意义。
The discussion of visual art is one of the main forms of Ruskin’s artistic thoughts,While emphasizing the cognitive,aesthetic and educational functions of traditional visual arts,he asserts that visual art reflects the core of moral significance.Ruskin revealed to us the connotation of truth expressed in architecture,painting,decoration and other artistic forms,and conveyed it through the aesthetic and practical functions of art image.It is advocated by Ruskin that if the art education is made compulsory and basically universal among the labor class,the situation of lack of overall moral awareness in the society could be remedied.This kind of thought of“artistic socialism”is of great significance for us to reflect on the tendency of excessive pursuit of artistic techniques and aesthetic self-discipline in contemporary visual art.However,in this tendency a pitiful ignorance of artistic moral value is obvious.
